Five apps, one living room
Devices that can't see each other, a separate app for each, scenes nobody uses. The result: gadgets that end up in a drawer.
Istanbul · Brand-Independent Smart Home Advisory
Smart Mimar sells no hardware and takes no installer commissions. A licensed architect assesses your apartment in person and prepares a written Roadmap: what to automate, in what order, on what budget. You buy once, buy right — and your home simply works.
In Turkey, the 'free site survey' isn't actually free: its cost is hidden inside the hardware you'll be sold. Advice about your home shouldn't come from the person selling that hardware.
Devices that can't see each other, a separate app for each, scenes nobody uses. The result: gadgets that end up in a drawer.
With the first device, you unknowingly commit to an ecosystem. The wrong choice chains you to one brand's prices for years.
An installer's recommendation is limited to what's on their shelf. The advice may look independent — but the profit comes from hardware, out of your budget.
“We know what it feels like to stand in a showroom wondering: 'Is this advice really for me — or for the sale?'”
Smart Mimar is independent advisory led by a licensed architect. We read a home as a space, not a catalog: light, daily habits, electrical infrastructure, renter constraints. The common model in the Turkish market is hardware sales; we deliberately chose the opposite — our income comes from advice alone.
An in-home assessment + a written Smart Home Roadmap. A clear plan for your whole apartment — before you buy a single device.
Fixed-fee audit
Fee — quoted clearly on WhatsApp, before you book
Book Your AuditThe audit costs a fraction of a single wrong ecosystem decision. Every audit is conducted personally by the architect — a maximum of 4 audits per month.
If at the end of the audit you don't believe the Roadmap is worth the fee, say so before the architect leaves — you pay nothing.
If you continue to Detailed Planning, everything you paid for the audit is credited toward the planning fee.
Smart Mimar is a brand-independent advisory for smart home systems in Istanbul. We know you want a home that simply works. The problem is that most smart home advice comes from companies selling hardware — which ends in wrong purchases, devices that can't see each other, and half-finished projects. We believe decisions about your home should be free of sales margins. That's why we created the Smart Property Audit: you book on WhatsApp, we assess your apartment together, and you receive a written roadmap. Get the plan before the gadgets — and build a home that quietly works, instead of money in a drawer.
A few messages settle the scope and the appointment. Takes two minutes; no preparation needed.
We walk your apartment together: infrastructure, internet, habits. The plan is built around your home, not a catalog.
What, in what order, on what budget — item by item. Implement it yourself if you like.
We can also manage sourcing and implementation on your behalf. Entirely optional — no sales pressure.
Because there is no plan without a diagnosis, and no shopping without a plan. What happens after the audit is entirely up to you.
A few messages about your situation — let's see together whether the audit is right for you.
In-home assessment + written Roadmap. The starting point of every engagement.
After the audit: exact product list, scenes and scenarios, implementation design. The full audit fee is credited at this stage.
Sourcing, installer briefing and on-site checks — you just receive the result.
An audit variant focused on remote management, guest scenarios and energy control.
System planning focused on the guest experience.
The Smart Home Readiness Checklist: 15 things to check in your own apartment before buying a single device — from switch wiring to Wi-Fi dead zones, renter constraints to boiler compatibility.
We send it as a PDF on WhatsApp. If you have questions, we answer them — no sales messages.
No — and that is the foundation of the service. Smart Mimar sells no hardware and takes no commission from any brand. Because only you pay our fee, the only measure of our recommendations is what fits your home.
A free site survey is a sales visit whose cost is hidden in the hardware you'll be sold. Our income comes only from advice, not hardware — that's why it's paid, and that's why it's unbiased. You receive a written roadmap you can use with any installer, not a sales quote.
In Turkey, project budgets range from a few thousand lira to hundreds of thousands; what makes the difference is not the number of devices but the quality of the plan. The audit gives you an item-by-item budget for your own apartment — so you can compare any quote that comes your way. The audit fee itself is quoted clearly on WhatsApp before you book.
Planning and coordination are ours. You can implement yourself (with our guidance); for anything electrical we coordinate with a licensed electrician. Mains electrical work always belongs to a qualified professional.
Yes. Solutions that need no drilling or permanent changes — and can move out with you — are a standard part of the plan. So is your deposit.
Standards are improving, but the job is not done: platforms support different Matter versions to different degrees, and some device types still work incompletely in some ecosystems. A standard is no substitute for planning — which ecosystem is right for your home is still the most critical decision.
Partially — Turkish support varies significantly between assistants, and it is one of the most commonly overlooked points in planning here. In the Roadmap, we choose voice-control recommendations that will actually work in your home.
No. The Roadmap is valuable on its own; implement it yourself or with your own installer if you prefer. Whether to continue is entirely up to you — no sales pressure. And if you do continue, the full audit fee is credited toward planning.
